Hours Per Week
The focus of the work of the Facilities Technician is to keep our new Golden, CO facilities up and running. This work often includes things like fixing fans, pumps, compressors, refrigeration systems (including charging, evacuating, and repairing), plumbing, and various forms of piping.
Associate's Degree or certification program of comparable scope in construction, mechanical or electrical technology or a related degree and 1 or more years of experience in facilities
Performs and directs the preventive maintenance on facility systems
Performs installation and repairs on facility systems
Guides and inspects outside contractors' work
Establishes monthly and annual preventive maintenance schedules
Performs on-call projects
Follows all ES&H policies and procedures to ensure and maintain safe working environment
Trouble shooting capability
Must be able to lift over 70 pounds on a routine basis
Must have (or be able to obtain) and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
